From September 24th to 26th 2023, the "Symposium on Multidisciplinary Collaboration for one health: Challenges and Opportunities", which was chaired by Dr. Zhongli Chen and co-organized by the School of Environment and Ecology of Chongqing University and the Institute for Environmental Research of RWTH Aachen University, was held successfully in Chongqing. The conference was conducted in a joint live broadcast modeviaZoom and Bilibili with on-site participation. The participants were from 8 universities/institutes, which are Chongqing University, RWTH Aachen University, Chinese Academy of Sciences Chongqing Green Intelligent Technology Research Institute, Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), Southwest University, National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” in Greece, Sun Yat-sen University and Sichuan University.

Besides, a student session was set up during the symposium, four Ph.D. candidates and one master student shared their study resultsviaoral presentations.

The School of Environment and Ecology at Chongqing University have collaborated extensively with well-known universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally, achieving grateful results. The environmental/ecological disciplines of Chongqing University have consistently ranked among the top 1% of ESI globally. This symposium established a multi-agency, interdisciplinary, and cross regional collaborative exchange platform, making important contributions to the internationalization development of Chongqing University.
