Research Description

Dr. Lei Li is currently working as an associate professor at the college of environmental and ecology, Chongqing University (CQU). Her major research interests are the optimization of biological treatment processes for organic waste, including anaerobic digestion and composting, rapid stabilization and pollution remediation of the landfill, and biological denitrification and advanced oxidation of leachate. She has more than 30 scientific publications, five patents and won the first prize in “Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Awards.”  For the last five years, she has coordinated four projects financed both from national and from Chongqing province, including ecological restoration and pollution remediation of the landfill. She also served as a reviewer for academic journals such as Water Research, Bioresource Technology, and Science of the Total Environment.
